On Behalf of DePauw University, I Award You This Ghetto Pass.

Well, Jack, I'm back.  And I'll tell you what, I'm very, very disappointed by the lack of pictures by you digital camera owning bastards out there who haven't posted your delicious pictures.  ...of me.  ...especially me on Graduation day.

*cough*

I went up on Thursday.  After mucking around with Raker a bit in Tennessee in Kentucky, we were on our way.  That is until we got caught up in production of The Perfect Storm II:  It Just Got Perfecter.  It was beyond pouring.  I know it's cliché, but it was buckets!  Buckets of water.  RIDICULOUS!!!  I could see about a yard in front of my car, I seriously thought I was going to die.  That is, before the hail started.  What the fuck!?!?  At one point, I thought it was raining in the car, but it was just me pissing myself!!!  Iason/Madonna would say that the Universe was trying to stop me from getting to DePauw.  Sigharoo.

Once we survived and my faith/hatred of God was reinstated, we arrived at DePauw.  But then, we found out that Sam's car overheated in Indy, so Jeff and I rescued her.  There, we waited with her for her brother and his friends to take her car away.  Seriously, folks, her brother's friends...good Lord!

Then we swept Sam back to the 'Plex and peaced out for the night.

Friday night, Jeff's dad came, and I got smashed.  And once I was smashed, I unfortunately realized that I was the only one.  That's not a classy feeling, I'll tell you what.

On Saturday--get this!--I played Frisbee.  That's right, the flying disc/catching/active thing.  And I even caught it a few times.  I'm proud of me too!

That afternoon, I drove up to Bloomingdale's to see Mattsy and Ellen.  Where I shopped for cat goodies, ACE bandages and delicious mushroom garlic pasta.  We headed out to bars, and at the first one, I got a blue drink.  I was drunk when they told me the name, but I definitely remember something to the effect of "A.F.T."  But that seems like a ridiculous name, doesn't it?  Oh!  And Ellen had to show me to the bathroom, which was little more than a pantry, where some guy tried to talk to me while peeing!!!  Hello!?!?  Societal rules, people!!!

And we picked up Matt's new cat [Ms.] Puss, who's adorable, if a bit sneaky.  But it was sooo nice to see Matt again.  Oh lord, I think I might be getting wistful...

The next day, after a hangover breakfast with Matt, Ellen and Will [THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!!!!!!], I sped back to DePauw for graduation.  2005's was a fuck of a lot nicer than mine!  Outside, better speaker, shorter ceremony, hysterically sarcastic remarks with Bethany, et al.  During the honorary doctorates, Bethany pretended everyone was getting a ghetto pass.  Which most of them desperately needed.  Except that British guy.  He keeps it real.  I had dinner in Lafayette with Jonelle, Sam and Bethany, which was really good too.  I miss Jonelle a lot.  [For her eyes only:  Hey, ho!  We should talk more!!!]

That night, I made Shaney watch Clue the next day.  She loved it!  I was so happy...I have a new favorite line from Mrs. Peacock:

"It's always exciting when a group of new friends meet for the first time.  Although I have no idea what we're doing here.  Or, what I'm doing here, but I am determined to enjoy myself and--oh my!--this soup's delicious, isn't it?"

...I guess you have to see it.

This graduation wasn't as sad, because I knew I could keep up these friendships.  Although it still marks a change in everything...it still is nice to know you're capable of that...

The drive back on Monday went by fast...mostly because Raker and I listened to Rufus and Ben the entire way.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaboo ya!

Uh oh...long entry...you know what that means!

Nerrrrrrrrvous?!?
