Medusa is a monster. Monsters are often hungry. Monsters have no issue with eating people based solely on sapience. Medusa, however, has been raised to be polite and listen to rules and it would be against said rules to eat anyone here, even if she's really hungry, which she rarely is because she doesn't want to be that tempted

Her lack of predatory interest would probably be appreciated if it were known. And understood if it were absent. But either way, it's hard to take note of a creature's stance (and through it to determine whether or not they are hunting) when your head and the majority of your torso are currently hidden in the soothing darkness under the couch.

He's family. You don't eat family.

Also, he still smells the same, which is why the jingle of Medusa's bracelets stop.

"Cerberus?"

This is true. It wouldn't necessarily stop some of the others though.

There is a long pause. And finally a quiet, strained voice answers.

"'lo, Meda." Says the couch.

She'd blame Echidna's childrearing skills if the sirens weren't the same.

"...should I ask?"

[tricaputus]

"....I think I'm dieing."

[mycursedface]

"...if it hasn't killed you yet, you're not doing to die."

Logically.

There is a long pause as this is mulled over. And Partly because talking hurts. Everything hurts. Tartarus, his teeth hurt and he didn't think that was possible.

"Oh."

Beat.

"I wish it would make up its mind then."

[mycursedface]

"Well, this is what you get from drinking Atlantean."

Yes, she can smelltaste it on him.

That actually gets a wince. Though it might be hard to tell. Again, what with most of him obscured.

"I'm sorry."

Who this is directed to is unclear.

"I don't know what I did to deserve it."

Which he undoubtedly does.

"It's a hangover. You'll live."

"...She's done it to you as well?"

[mycursedface]

And the world goes very, very still.

"Who?"

"The lady Demeter." The title is carefully placed. Not the Lady but a lady none the less.

"I think there it might have been because I'm not good at dancing."

Medusa is hissing, low and furious.

She'll speak rationally in a moment.

Really.

Cerberus discreetly scoots backwards another few inches under the couch. He's seen angry Gorgons before.

"Demeter," she hisses, "is a menacsssse."
