Hail the conquering hero!

I went into the bathroom recently and saw this nasty spider, so I courageously found the kleenex box and smooshed it. (with the appropriate "hi-ya!") Then, when I lifted up the box to clean up, I realized that I had just courageously defeated a clump of hair. But it was a very scary clump of hair!

We got a new family game today called Hoopla. It's soooo much fun. I'm a fan of anything that alternately makes me draw (poorly, but draw nonetheless), charades (but with sound effects!), use alliterative description, or try to use "bigger than blank but smaller than blank" to get someone to guess what's on the card. You should have tried to see me act out Uncle Sam. On second thought, maybe you shouldn't have.

I hate it when I go down to go to bed and realize that I haven't re-made it. *headpalm* I'm actually quite proud that I actually made my bed last night instead of just grabbing the nearest sleeping bag. My domestic guilt skills are improving.

My reward for spending almost 3 hours straight chauffeuring was a trip to the library. I love libraries. I got everything from Terry Pratchett to Confessions of a Bibliophile to the Miss Saigon CD to random Navy-intelligence person biography. Why must I be up so early for chauffeuring duties? I think I need to have a date tomorrow with the book pile, Jefe's waterbed, and Merlin.

Oh, speaking of the cats, they are AMAZING mousers. In the space of 24 hours, they caught 6 mice. I have to give the cats love because these mice were inside the house which is not love. However, I sleep much better at night knowing that they're around. What's even better is that after those 24 hours (a Sunday), Dad went to go buy mousetraps, and there hasn't been a single mouse to be seen since - in the traps or house. The cats must have caught the little invaders pre-procreation. Thank heaven.

I found totally nerdly linguistics t-shirts online. They are amazingly hilarious. See for yourself:

There are many favorites that I would love, and I would so buy some of them for anamuan were they not slightly inappropriate. But they definitely reminded me of her. I leave it to you to decide whether that's a compliment or not.
