My snow day system works, I swear!
...I just forgot to update the weather gods that I had moved! We got more snow here, but not even a 2 hour delay. Oy vey. Jefe was so very unamused at that this morning; with counseling he might be able to get over it by next year. You may thank me for my amazing skills on your behalf with monetary or chocolatary compensation at any time.
Happy Valentine's Day minna-san! We did our traditional red meal tonight. Dad's Manhattan clam chowder (famous in song, story, and Henle 95), bread dyed pink/red with food coloring, and then chocolates for dessert. Hooray for delicious family traditions (and amazing parents who make a lot of it)!
Tonight, Ben had the previously-mentioned concert. Dad, Mom, and Jefe went and they report that his group did a great job, which is a good thing since they're traveling to Utah early tomorrow morning for a competition/festival/concert thing. I'm staying up with him tonight as he finishes his laundry so he'll have clothing for the trip. Apparently packing habits run in the family. *blushing face*
I went to Institute Choir tonight, which ended up being dinner and white elephant with a very little bit of practicing. I would have skipped tonight to go watch Ben except I missed last week due to headachage, so I felt bad missing again. Thus, I went and actually interacted with people my age (alert the media), and I managed to get a stuffed moose that I will add to the Jefe's birthday gift. That was the best white elephant ever.
I went down to my room to grab a DVD that Ben wanted to watch, but I had to go to the bathroom. So, I walked back into my room to grab the DVD and my jacket, and suddenly Ben pops out from under my bedcovers with a sound that is irreplicable on the page, and I jumped about a foot. I'm so glad I can provide such amusement for the people I live with. :\
