I am getting into the groove of commuting to school. Luckily I have become so addicted to listening to audio books that I actually enjoy the drive. I was right that my US History class would be a complete waste of time, but since it is a huge lecture class I can just sit in the back and read or knit. So far the writing assignments have been a joke but I guess I should expect that from a class that I SHOULD have taken in my first year.
Matt and I have been thinking a lot about what we are going to do when we finish college. Depending on what kind of program he gets into he could be teaching next fall. I am already in an accelerated teaching program but I wont be teaching for a couple years yet most likely. I just have too much left to do, and too many pointless classes under my belt. *cough* Texas Government *cough* Other than a nagging worry at living so far away from my dad as he gets older we are growing more and more secure in the idea that we want to move out of the country ASAP. We have been thinking about our choices a lot and have basically decided (assuming we like it after a visit) on New Zealand. I have been getting very excited about it as I research more, it seems like a really incredible place. There is just something so incredible about the aspect of being able to go to a beautiful tropical beach in the morning, check out some snow related activities in the mountains at lunch and then maybe go for a hike through the rainforest in the evening. They also have a fabulous education system and are avidly recruiting foreigners to teach. Of course those are only a few of the reasons. If only I didn't have so much time left in school, it seems like a million years away. I'm not too worried about leaving my friends since I have convinced myself I just have to make them visit and they won't want to leave. ;)
On a different subject I started my first dose of allergy shots today. I have become allergic to everything in the last couple years and my life has suffered miserably because of it, even if it takes several months I am really looking forward to getting over this nonsense.
