FINALS WEEK IS OVER!!!!!!!!!
So yeah. Last week was nuts. This week will be crazier. ^^
Finals went well. My grades look alright.
CP English - A
AP Stats - B *Depends on my final, though*
AP Spanish - B
Chemistry - B
US History - B *Maybe A if she's having a good week
AP Theory - A
Band - A
Orchestra - A
GPA - 4.1 *yay for weighted grades!*
Music is looking really good. My lesson went really well and I need to start doing more drumset...Yeah. Recital on Monday at Chapman, 7:30. I'm playing the Musser Etude in B major. Come see meeeeeeeeee! And I bet Brandon and Bernie will play as well, and they'll be amazing, of course. :D so check it.
All Southern this week, District Honor Band...Yeah. Awesome. And I actually know a few people that I'm in it with. Score. Go to the concerts, I would love to see familiar people there.
Anyone know when OCYSO is playing Jupiter? I SO wanna go to that concert.
So the Play-a-Thon...yeah. It was pretty funny that people kept walking up and asking us when we were going to start, and they asked what we were going to play. "Umm, we're already playing. We finish in an hour." I guess we could have told them that we're playing John Cage's 4:23 over and over again after 2:30. Needless to say, it didn't sound like much other than strings warming up, ocassional brass and wind highlights (what happened to the flutes? I only saw one of them...), and xylophone metronomage. I think the play-a-thon should be a recital of sorts...have small ensembles play, soloists, the full ensemble to close it. But I haven't cared to think through the logistical errors inherent in that idea. I'm sure there are thousands.
Afterwards, Derek came over, color and cut on him, and I think it turned out well. ^^ that was fun stuff. Watched some Benny and Joon. That film is HILARIOUS, kids. I love that movie so.
So he left, I cleaned up...gave myself a cute haircut. lil bangs. Super cute. Then I cleaned more, my parents got home, we did dinner and I went to bed. It was a good day.
Friday, as most Fridays are, was fantastic as well. We did the movie crew thing, celebrated the end of finals week. It was dope, yo.
I didn't just say that. Of course not.
So no one ever figured out what that line was from way back when, the "I know it's stupid and juvenile, but so is high school." Come on kids! Tell me what it's from. Cookies are the prize.
