V-day

Feb 14, 2008 19:27

I have been gone for a while, but no worries. I am now back! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE! I know, Valentine's day in the Philippines was like, yesterday, but I don't care. Anyway, I don't really like Valentine's day because I think it's stupid. You know how I said that New Year's resolutions are dumb because you don't exactly need to have resolutions for just one day and forget about it, but instead we should try making simple resolutions each and everyday? Yea, that. I think, in the same way, that people should not just show their love once a year, but everyday of the year. And besides, this is just the commercial industry's way of influencing people to buy stuff they don't really need. I mean, come on. Teddy bears as big as you, if not taller than you? Who needs that stuff? Also, it's just a way of making people who didn't get anything feel more insecure. *ehem* But whatever. If you're one of those people who like celebrating Valentine's day because it's the norm, get on with it. I don't really care. Hahaha.

And since I am feeling all the love from this post, I decided to watch "The Notebook" tonight, as my own V-day celebration. Take that, ginormous teddy bears and half a pound of chocolate and bouquet of flowers. I don't need you. HAHAHAHAHA.

I wanted to do a recap of exactly what happened today, exactly a year ago.

  • Well, it was Valentine's day and it was Wednesday. And the day started out as normal as can be.
  • I woke up, took a bath, had breakfast and left for school.
  • II-Pauling was in their lines for the morning assembly at school. I was the 2nd person in front. In front of me was Jio, as per usual.
  • The national anthem was sung, so was the school song and the city's song.
  • We had no first period teacher. Mr. Casbadillo was not there. Late, as usual.
  • We were sitting in the quad, waiting for the teacher and some people were doing biology homework.
  • I went to the end of the line where Philip [?] was there and I sat beside him and started to copy the homework.
  • Jaycee came to talk to me and told me, "Fatima. Ang laki nung regalo sayo. Nagulat nga ako e." Fatima, his gift for you is big. I was even surprised.
  • Jaycee then gave me this gift, which I still remember was this cute bear thingy and then when you pressed it, it sang rather annoyingly. I can't remember the song though. Haha.
  • Then Krister arrived, late. He then talked to Jaycee I guess, and then he went and got this big ass bag and gave it to me.
  • I was like, "Uh. Thank you." And that was it.
HAHAHAHAHA.

What an eventful day. Not quite like today. 'Nuff said.
