(no subject)
WHO LET JANE ESPENSON WRITE ONE OF THE FINAL BATTLESTAR EPISODES? WHY IS SHE WASTING THE LITTLE PRECIOUS TIME WE HAVE LEFT WITH THESE CHARACTERS? AAARGH!
Things in this episode that made no sense because Epsenson can't write BSG for shit:
-CapSix going to Dogville to get food. She lives with the XO! She has tea! I'm pretty sure she doesn't have to chance the fickle mob to go get bowls of algee gruel to eat.
-Tyrol voting to abandon the Colonial fleet. No frakking way. Adama just reinstated him as Chief! He was hugely moved! He loves Galactica! Why does he suddenly want to leave, no second thoughts? This makes no sense for his character. And she doesn't even bother to explain his decision.
-Kara wouldn't leave Sam's side last week, didn't trust all the cylons around him without her, and this week she's no where to be found (except the bar)? What? I mean, I get that she has to be on duty some times, but there wasn't even a mention of the cylons being all "no one tell Kara we're having a secret vote to run off with her comatose husband because she'll go insane!" They didn't even mention it. I kept waiting for Kara to find out what they were planning and... nada.
-Ellen being exactly like she was before she died. Ok, so Tigh brings out the worst in her. I get that. But last week she had this macrocosmic perspective on human nature and emotions, and this week she can't see the forest for the trees? Ugh. This could have been done so well, an interesting integration of old and new Ellen, but it was just blah. She was annoying and manipulative. And she didn't even give him shit about killing her! TBH, I'd be way more pissed about my husband killing me than about him knocking up some other chick after I was dead (from him killing me).
-Baltar and his groupies. I don't care! There are only five episodes left, and you're wasting half an episode on this? And you won't even give me a throwaway line about how Helo and Athena are doing?? Whatever payoff this story has, it probably only justifies a scene or two, not half an episode.
-Adama and Roslin would not give Baltar a crate of guns. JUST NO. Do you even know anything at all about these characters you're writing, Espenson? No, you do not. Please GTFO.
Also, my laptop's AC adapter is busted, and I have to wait a week for them to ship me a new one. Woe. This is cutting into my posting of random entries about TV.
