Journey's End
Oh, Doctor Who, how very [show name redacted] of you. Which, by the way, I TOTALLY CALLED IT. I mean, I didn't actually mention it to anyone or anything, but I was totally thinking it would be like Farscape and there would end up being two Doctors and one of them would stay with Rose in the parallel universe. Uh, here's hoping Jackie doesn't kill him.
I wonder if hardcore Doctor/Rose shippers feel cheated? I dunno, I think it was a nice end for the whole Doctor/Rose relationship. I mean, she gets to live a life with him now! Well, one of him. And emo!Ten will soldier on. And maybe sing a song with David Morissey? Please?
Martha and Mickey are joining Torchwood, right? RIGHT? Because it has been TOO LONG without Mickey and I do not want to give him back now. I mean, I loved Tosh and Owen but their deaths' were so beautifully scripted... I'm ok if there aren't any scifi shenanigans pulled to bring them back. And that does mean there are two opening at Torchwood 3... (Also, ROTFL at Mickey making a point to say goodbye to Jackie, but not really to Rose. OIC, Mickey, OIC.)
Donna <3 <3 <3 Also, HELLO CONSPICUOUS RING. Has she had this before and they just didn't draw ridiculous amounts of attention to it?
But yeah, Donna rocked, spewing technobabble left and right. Martha rocked, all ready to destroy the Earth if she had to. Rose I'm still pretty indifferent to. Jack was... Jack. I'm not sure the all-star team-up had quite the payoff I was expecting, but still, it was awesome just to have everyone in one place. Also, as I believe I said before, Mickey better turn up on Torchwood. I am a Mickey fangirl, I cannot deny.
Basically? This was an awesome season finale. Aargh, and no full series next year? And no full series of Torchwood in the fall? Hopefully, what they do produce kicks monumental ass.
