Stupid internet, so slow. Again I wonder at the cheapness of the apartment complex that they have but one T1 line. You think at $2200/month per apartment they could manage the extra $500 for a second line. But who knows the ways of apartment management? They are varied and mysterious.
Finished paper YAY this morning, but forgot to open up Azureus while typing and so now must try downloading over sloooow connection. (I missed some important Logan sceneage when the satellite went out. This CANNOT BE. So I must download. Even though downloading is forbidden because it slows down the singular T1 line, but secretly, I think that if everyone did like, a download protest and hogged the bandwith, maybe the manager would get a second line. Or maybe we'd all get eviction warnings. But seriously, like this is worse than the DRUNKEN WHISTLING TO WEEZER that the neighbors indulge in. Also what may or may not be chanting in Farsi.)
So, down to the last two papers... I at least have outlines! English seminar for Tuesday, PoliSci for Friday, but I need to go home on Wednesday so really I need to get it done by then. Unless I don't, in which case BAD ME. doomchica has expressed interest in going to see The Sounds at San Diego House of Blues next Friday. Sounds neat! Wait. I keep doing that, saying "sounds". It's not an intentional pun. It's a result of a limited vocabulary. ("Weeeeee're not living in Ameeeeerica! And weeeeeeee're not sorryyyyyyy!")
Is it wrong to drink Coke with toast and jam?
Eight days 'til cruise! Seven days on a boat, admittedly a large one, with Mother and Grandmother. Hopefully there will not be a repeat of the Savannah Days Inn Shouting Extravaganza. These cabins seem pretty close together. I had this dream nightmare where the cruise ship turned out to be hideous and dinky and it was just HORRID and now I've got this sinking premonition about the trip. (Ok, that pun was slightly intentional.)
Anyway, once VM downloads and I've seen all the Logan there is to see, I'll have some thoughts. But for now, just a comment or two on some terms I saw on the TWoP boards:
Blahannah- Hee! I totally thought "Blanders" when they introduced her character. (Like, "Oh, small blonde girl. Obviously Logan's using her as a SUBSTITUTE! Just like how we thought Kara was using Anders... Wait..." This was before the reveal of Logan's Nefarious Plot.)
HaLo- No! God, fandom, really? REALLY? LoVe wasn't enough? You had to make a second compound of hideous saccharine shite? Yikes. (Also, when I see it, I momentarily think Halo the game and get a spark of interest, which is then rudely extinguished in the dousing of stupid.)
