The Sky was Large and Far Away

I'm "home". Columbus "home". Thing is I feel a little empty. I've had a heavy heart all through this weekend. I'm not really sure what caused it. Christmas was good, full of love and cheer and all that.

I got the entire first season of Fraggle Rock for christmas.I asked for it thinking, yeah, that'd be pretty good to see again. I had no idea how much I would love it. Fraggle Rock is genius. pure and simple. Jim Henson is genius. You're probably smiling a bit to yourself, thinking, oh thats adorable, Virginia loves Fraggle Rock, but it's more than that. I did some reading about it and it was JIm Henson's idea of a perfect society. His motivation behind creating it was lofty but beautiful, he wanted to bring about world peace. The first international childrens program. they even created the dialouge in a way that would be easily translatable to all languages and still having the same meaning. Theres a song in Fraggle Rock abou every five minutes or so and around 100 songs in the first season as a whole. And these are fucking good songs. each fraggle has a different philosophy. The symbolism, which is everywhere, is overwhelming.
I'm going to stop praising now. Watch it yourself and be amazed.
Advice from a wise wise heap of trash.

So...Columbus. I thought now would be an appropriate time for an entry. I wont be doing much internetting for the next week or so due to unplugging lots of things and packing many boxes and moving them and unpacking them again and plugging things in again. Before I left for Cincinnati I was feeling sentimental about the place and all thats happened here. But coming back tonight...I just dont feel it anymore. It could be due to that anchor tied to my heart right now. It could be that Arlos not with me. Either way, it seems that these are rooms and rooms only after all.

I got back hungry but all I have in my kitchen is ginger, some really old potatoes, a clove of garlic, and really gross instant mashed potatoes. I think I got them when I first moved in and then only tried them once. yeah, they really sucked. In the refirgerator, old vegan chili, old burnt rice, cheese slices and ketchup. I peek in the back and low and behold there are two newcastles. I guess that will work. Liquid bread and all.
Maybe I'll order taco ninja. They used to deliver food wearing ninja gear and answer the phone like a ninja too. Theyre lazy now and dont do it anymore, so theres a certain sadness in the ordering process. But they do kung fu up a spicy burrito.

To everyone who reads this blarney: I like you lots. Remember that. Thanks for caring whats in my refrigerator.

Ive got to work a lot this week on top of moving. Starting tomorrow morning. Not thinking or sleeping can be nice.

I shall end on a note that is niether good nor bad:
Sigh.
