(no subject)
so today, the 2 boys enlisted. i went with ernest for his which i promised like long ago. tekong is seriously just weird. it looks awfully normal and yet, unimaginable stories come from it. like seriously, it looks like your everyday chalet at downtown east or like sentosa. REALLY. if you look past the fact that there're men marching, SOCs to be crossed and commanders to be obeyed, it's just ur average chalet. NOT. ayeee. it's like hell for the guys i think.
anyway, ernest picked me up along the way in the morning. then it was breakfast at BK. we were rather early laa so like just slacked around and talked. then walked to the shuttle which was WAY PACKED. the line for it had twists and turns. totally shows singaporean mentality of kiasu-ness. we weren't late la. we were just on time. and we were at the back. they looked like they totally chionging to enlist la. hahahaha. the bus ride was just too fast. cos the driver just sped the whole way there. ernest was just there going 'i swear he shd not drive like this. it's way too fast. we're arriving too soooon.' and yeah, we like reached in 5 mins or so! way fast! and yeahh, being singapore, there were more lines to queue for! next we had to queue to get onto the ferry. which was surprisingly rather luxurious. there was aircon, tv mobile and seats. i had to take a last photo on the ferry! :D look at how many people there were on the ferry! looked like a plane ride pls! haha!
OH! and clarence went in at the same time toooo! so we saw him! :D TV MOBILE was the joke. they had the quotes thingy which kinda replayed itself throughout the ferry ride. they were just hilarious! 'arriving at one point is the beginning of a new journey', 'action is the antidote to depression', 'if you want to avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing'. there were more but i can't rmb now. totally highlights the journey to tekong. and ernest thinks they're rigged. hahaha. what a jokeee!
after reaching, it was more of a tour of tekong (: which was interesting!
got a picture of this from the ferry terminal. anyway, we visited rocky hill camp, ernest and clarence's new home! couldn't take photos cos cameras weren't allowed! rocky hill camp is supposedly larger than ladang camps. more spacious and their toilets have doors. but sadly, no washing machines. then we saw like what they'll receive and put into their field packs and all. and i finally understand where tax payers' money go to. totally expensive equiptment! oath taking thing was next at the auditorium. omgg. they were suddenly sitting like straight with their arms like properly positioned at 45 deg on their knees. and their 'yes, sir!' was just stunning. hahahaha. yeahh, and there were talks and like info session on book out dates, pop dates and all.
then came lunch! :D was totally looking forward! but well, there was nothing to look forward to seriously. hahahaha. food wasn't exactly fantastic. and bins says that it's like damn gooood. poor things laa. was telling ernest now i understand why bins needs to eat good food when he books out! food in camp is just not the best thing mann. yeaaa! so now, im excited to hear about more army stories. :D
can totally feel that lonely lonely feeling. cel's busy preparing for exams, marcus is in taiwan, ernest is in camp, bins is just a weekender. )): even going online's so blardy quiet now ): depressing shit la. there's only me and HORROR (JEZ) left. ): sighhhh. these 2 weeks shd just pass faster. then, cel's exams would be over, marcus would be back and ernest will be booking out. so yeah these 2 weeks are gonna be rather quiet ):
