i have been neglecting you.
It is true. But i am very busy. I stopped liking my job so set off trying to find a new one. I was successful and will start my new job with the Department of the Navy in Philadelphia on March 23rd. I am exciting about it, but also nervous, I can't get away with wearing jeans to work anymore. I also have to get up at 5 am now and ride the train into Philly everyday. BUT I get every other Friday off!!!!! that means I will get to have real weekends with my boyfriend, and I will be making more money so I will be able to afford the new car that the Camry keeps reminding me I need to buy. So things are looking good.
Things up are business as usual. Tyrice's lease is up the end of April, we talked about living together, are putting it off another year or so. *shrugs* no rush and I should save more money first. He is probably just goign to stay in the same apartment he is currently in. I have decided that I am going to turn it into a real place to live because he is busy (in his own way) and doesn't really have the time, energy, effort, or money to do so; and since i do plan on moving in with him eventually i will buy stuff that can just transition into a bigger place when we do move into together. ugh weird. i can't believe i am actually doing big person stuff and thinking about moving in with someone. I need my own room. and a bigger bed. and we're keeping my pretty purple bedding and i dont' care what he says about it!
In other news my sister's wedding shower is coming up very quickly. All the decorations are being delievered, i still have to make favors and need to go to ac moore to buy things for that. Its been fun but stressful as my mom has decided to go completely crazy about the whole thing. i cannot believe i will have a brother in law in less than two months! He's a very good brother in law. WHen I got into a bit of an altercation with a guest in his apartment, i chose to leave the apartment and my soon to be brother in law came down the stairs into the wet parking lot in his socks to make sure i was ok. I am glad he will be my brother in law. I feel lucky.
I have been doing a lot of reading, not as much crocheting as i would like and very little other crafting. I would like to take on the task of building myself a bookshelf, but since i have no experience i am thinking of commissioning a friend of mine who is quite good at building things. The problem is simply finding the time for these sorts of adventures. But soon i will have every other friday off!!! yay.
I am pleased with life. I wish i didn't always forget to put my movies back in the mailbox.
