Sigh of Relief....

I had such a freakin' awesome Saturday, but it was SO tiring as well. We woke up early and I played with my new phone, trying desperately to get it activated, but it looks like I'll have to wait until Monday. But, I did get all of my contacts transferred over from my old phone, which let me tell you, is a long process in itself. Apparently because it's the weekend, it will take until Monday morning to get the freakin' thing activated. It wouldn't take that long but I'm trying to get my number from Virgin Mobile transferred over to Straight Talk. I go through phone carriers often, and I get sick of telling everyone my new number. Hopefully this is worth it. My brother goes on and on about how awesome Straight Talk is, and they are much cheaper, so I'm giving it a try. I will say that I love my new phone.

Yesterday we went to a pancake benefit at a local church. Not something we would normally do, but it was to benefit a couple that are crazy in debt because they adopted two little boys last year. I am not adopted in the traditional sense, but, my father on my birth certificate, and the one that I grew up knowing as Daddy, is not my biological father. Mike also, not adopted in the traditional sense, but when he was 14 his step dad adopted him and his siblings. We also have thought a lot about the chances that we will not get pregnant, and if so we would love to adopt. So, yeah, the benefit meant something to us. So pancakes for breakfast it was.

Then we stopped by my moms angstpuppy to visit for a few minutes and use her phone and then off to the French and Indian War Reenactment we went. And oh, my, god, did we have a good time. I did wear the worst shoes ever for this type of thing, but it's in the middle of a boyscout camp so I took them off and it felt good to run around in the woods barefoot again! We met some cool people, and would love to go back today (it's a two day deal) but I just don't know if we'll have time.

We went to lunch with Mike's mom, aunt and aunt's boyfriend and took my mum as well. That was fun and quite filling! It was also rather expensive (we paid for mum as well).

After dropping Mum off we came home and Mike promptly fell asleep. I went to the landlord's and paid the rest of this months rent, then a good friend from high school came over to visit for a while. Mike's brother ended up calling like three times to ask us to come to his house for an impromptu cookout. I didn't really want to go, but we did. We had an okay time, it's just that we're going to be back there today for a Father's Day cookout, and I wanted to spend some time at home this weekend.

Got home and cleaned out the girls' cage and then I read Kiss of the Night for a while with headphones on while Mike watched t.v. I have no idea when I fell asleep, or when he fell asleep...I just know that I slept extremely well.

I hope I can have more days like yesterday this summer!

I know I said I'd be posting mad pictures of the reenactment, but there are over 100 of them, and it takes so long to get them to upload on live journal. So, I'm going to be periodically adding them to my Deviant Art and if any of you have an account there, you're more than welcome to view them there. Or if you know of any other place I can add them quickly and share the album with all of my awesome friends let me know.

Well, I'm off to read my friends page for the first time in a couple of days...Oh! And for those of you concerned about my recent sickliness, I'm much better! Thanks. :D
