A little boy run carelessly as tears kept flowing out from his eyes. He run and run until he heard ruckus and finally realizes he has come to the heart of the forest. Wiping his tears and snot with the sleeve of his sweater his eyes widened.
The legend. It is true.
With the natural curiosity of five years old, he neared the parade with pure glee.
Glowing with every color possible, the parade is as beautiful it is as he imagined from the story the elders tells them, if not then more. He was so amused from the spectacular displays he can see and even the creatures he suppose from the mirror land since he never saw them before.
The legend is always entailed with another legend saying the circus parades from their world to another one just like theirs.
“You shouldn’t be here” He heard a deep voice from behind him and as he turn around, he was immediately amazed. The man’s hair is the color of the fire and he was decked in pure black. His porcelain skin stood up in all the darkness from his clothing. “What’s your name?”
The little boy is hesitant, but as if he doesn’t have a choice anymore he answered. “Bae…Baekhyun”
Before he knew it the man had scooped him up already. “And what is little Baekhyun doing in the forest in the middle of the night?”
With the question Baekhyun’s eyes start watering already.
“Nobody wants me anymore” His voice no louder than whisper but the man heard it otherwise.
“Orphanage?” He asked as he looks in the direction where Baekhyun approached from. The little boy nod and buried his head on the latter’s neck.
Mystery man smiled and pets his head. “How would little Baekhyun want to have an adventure?” He asked and Baekhyun eyed him for a while before nodding oh so enthusiastically.
“Chanyeol! Get moving! Go back to your carriage!” They heard someone shout from one of the carriage close to the end of the parade.
“Well, come now little Baekhyunnie” The man smiled. “Let’s start the adventure”
And that is all Baekhyun needs. He wrapped his arms around this man named Chanyeol and he finally feels safe at home.
