gaining speed....
today was day one of my internship with Media Process Group. very cool. very very cool!!! it's a step in the right direction....and im already overwhelmed. i have so much to get done this month alone. im not sure how i can handle it all. I've already cut my hours at Kay....and i feel like i need to cut more. Although i dont really think of it this way, but it became apparant to me that i have a 7 day work week. and it's been that way since i've started school...and now more so that i've started interning. i'll figure something out. everything is just moving so fast. and i feel my mood affected by it... it stays in "go" mode..and "get shit done" mode, and i literally need to make a conscious effort to slow myself down. and it doesn't stay that way for very long.
BUT i feel like talking about awesome things!!!!
SO! interning. im getting paid. rawk! not much, but it covers gas and parking and lunch :)
my (boss?)the owner of Media Process Group is named Bob Hercules. how awesome is that? although he doesn't want to be called Mr. Hercules. While I was in his office waiting my next intern-y task, i was looking at the pictures he had on the walls: him and Barak Obama,some guy im assuming is Rodney Dangerfield (the pic was at a odd angle from where i sat), and him and Alac Baldwin and Steven Spielberg! The co-owner of MPG is alumni from Columbia, and that makes me feel like there is hope for me yet. everyone at the production company is super laid back and nice. Bob Hercules and i were out running tasks and delivering tapes left at their office. we were down by union station. i thought i saw someone briefly...and my blood boiled for a second...and the fists were clenched..but i quickly was past that. so i dont know for sure. but i digress...
Tomorrow i'm already going out on a shoot with this very cool lady named Libbie who rents office space from MPG. She's filming some event at Northwestern. Im tagging along. im listed as the P.A. hahahahaha. im excited. im worn out so right now im not in the mood to be out shooting all day... but she did say that they probably wont need me to lug around equipment. hahah but i probably will be. work on those biceps. raawwwrrr..
