[Currently, Feldt Grace can be found sitting in the library pouring over a particularly large book on famous Healers and their contributions to the Wizarding community. Most might find the book extremely dull, but she's taking down notes here and there on spells she thinks may come in handy before and after graduation ( Read more... )

[I am never going to get any studying done if more of you come reading over my shoulder, it's a bit distracting. Who is it now-- oh, it's Lyle. Hope you don't mind that I keep reading.]

[Nope, but I will ask you about it, since it looks vaguely interesting. Or you know, a good conversation starter, whichever.]

Studying already, huh? What's all this for?

I passed my OWLs so I can take the required exams to be a Healer. This is extra reading for spells and such that might come in handy later on.

[pauses to write down some notes]

[A low whistle] A Healer, huh? You really don't go for the easy options, do you?

It may not be easy, but it's what I want to do. I want to help people, maybe help save someone's life.

That so, huh? Well, if it's something you really want, I'm certainly not gonna stop you.

My Uncle Joyce was a Healer too. He gave me the idea, after my fourth year.

It's a good thing to want to be, as far as I'm concerned. Someone's gotta be there to mop up all the messes everyone makes.

Even in Quidditch, there are a lot of possible injuries that players can incur from the Bludgers, other players, and even accidents on the player's own part.

[Remember her first match, Lyle? A Bludger hit her in the side and knocked her clean off her broom as she went for the Snitch. Not to mention the few days afterward healing from the cracked ribs, broken arm and bruising courtesy of the fall.]

[H-he does remember that first match, because he felt a tiny bit guilty about what he'd got the girl into for a little bit afterwards... also because their own Beaters had enacted a pretty vicious Bludger-related revenge after she'd been hit. :'D]

Yeah. It's part of the excitement of the game, but it's still nice to know there'll be someone there to patch the players up if something does happen.

[And so the field was leveled. :'>]

If something happens during this match, I'll try patching them up. I've been practicing healing spells since the end of last year and I read some of my uncle's notes over the summer.

That so, huh? Well, I'm hoping you won't need to use them, but thanks in advance.

I hope I won't have to either, but something tells me someone might need some medical attention before the end of the match.

[siiigh] Probably. Even school matches can get pretty brutal.

Especially the Gryffindor and Slytherin matches... and ours against Gryffindor.
