today has been the best saturday i've had in a long while. actually it all started on thursday when casey and i went to see
tom brosseau (who was so great... so cute and sweet) and transamerica at
rag tag downtown...excellent time. but today was really nice. i got up about 9:30 and went downtown with dad to hang out. he's made a routine of going downtown to coffee zone (this really cool kind of middle eastern coffee shop...the name really doesn't fit the place) every morning and then walking around downtown for a while...and he wanted me to go with him. so we went to coffee zone...and they were playing a RADIOHEAD album...amen...amnesiac. it was lovely. we sat outside
(the music plays outside) and talked for a bit while sharing a yummy cream cheese muffin. there was a guy with his daughter there and she was adorable. she came up to me and put her little hands on my knees and just looked around and walked off...and then came back and did the same but laid her head on my knees. it was cute. after a while dad and i wandered down to tucker's fine jewelry. dad had seen a black pearl necklace ($12,000) in the window and wanted to show me...so we looked around in there a while before going down to the peace nook which was really neat... lots of books on...everything (philosophy, christianity, fiction, homosexuality, reiki, native american books)...and incense and bags and candles and jewelry and natural soaps and health foods...neat place. i got a little change purse and a neat leaf candle holder. after that we went to cool stuff where i got a little green candle holder.
around then it was noon so we went and got mom and ate downtown at panera, then walked to an aveda salon (the one next to otto's, case) so mom could get lotion and walking back to the
artisan cafe i took these:

that sums up our time downtown. i love downtown here. it's like a different world. i'm determined to have my next living quarters downtown. after all that we went to the mall and mom got a haircut and a shirt. we rented movies and i took a lovely nap then we watched derailed...it was okay... clive owen is sexy, at least. we also rented the squid and the whale, everything is illuminated, and nine lives. i'm about to watch everything is illuminated. the cute girl at movie gallery said it's good. so anyway...it's just been a lovely half of a weekend. i think this last week sucked so much at work b/c i felt all blah from last weekend b/c i didn't do SHIT. i don't LIKE getting up early, but i feel so good the rest of the day when i do...and i am up and able to DO stuff... it's nice. i guess that's all. :) more pictures:
