rest in peace Esther Wong. im sure most people have no idea who you are. but then again, most people arent as old and into the same music as i. esther was responsible for bringing such bands as the ramones, X, the go go's, oingo boingo, the knack, the police, the talking heads, blondie...etc. to the west coast and giving them a stage to perform back in the late 70's early 80's. i remember the first time i saw the ramones play esther came onstage and cut off their mic and made them get off of the stage and go to the restroom and clean up the graffiti they had put up on the bathroom stall wall. thank you for being a ball buster and giving me and others the opportunity to hear this wonderful music.
