In Which the World is on Fire

I didn't dream last night, or at least, I don't remember my dreams. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing considering the news I've been absorbing.

Minneapolis is on fire. A police station has been brought down. The President of the United States is threatening open fire on protestors. The situation looks like war. It is war, and lives are at stake. I have family who live in the midst of it. There's not a lot I can do but sign petitions and send money.

I am angry. I don't get angry very often, but I am angry at the world. I am angry that we have such a divide in the US. I am angry that this isn't a local issue. I am angry that it hasn't been solved.

I am angry that in the midst of all of this, I look at the protests and I still have to worry about the virus. I don't know how to be angry. I don't know how to channel it.

I donated money to the minnesota freedom fund. If you happen to stumble across this, you should too.
