finals are almost over. at least my writing stuff is done. i hate those blue books and the cramps you get in your hand from writing so fast. i wrote about coons, mammies, and tragic mulattos on tuesday, while getting a little more sophisticated in the theories of Thomas De Man and the ridiculous literature of Borges, Greene, Sor Juana, and Sarmiento. The best part of my studying was definately reading an article analysing Desi Arnaz as the first and most pivotal character in Cuba-American relations, and then taking a break from that to check out Ann Coulter's book on hating liberals. What a crazy bitch. I kinda want to make a movie where all the crazy conservatives and nutty green liberals are kidnapped and then dropped into a room made to look like a giant chessgame, and then given various ideological weapons and told that whoever won could shape the future of America. Basically, a poli-sci version of BATTLE ROYALE. A pundit playoff type of thing. it would be fun. And fit right in with taht whole reality tv eating the souls of human craze.
the weather is shitty, so no beach. i guess i'll resign myself to finishing hitchikers guide, seeing the movie, and studying latin.
