Dear people-
You don't lie to your friends. It's just not nice. Lying to "protect" them from information they won't like simply makes a lot of people like me more annoyed b/c the lie went on for a while, and we feel dumb we didn't figure it out sooner. This even applies if you're breaking it off with one guy because you're going to start dating his friend. Lying to your friends is never okay. Especially is if you describe that friend as a "good friend" or even "best friend."
