Summer's Story Part Two
Hello everyone! Welcome back to another chapter in Summer's life. I have decided to continue this story. This chapter is short but it introduces you to three new characters. This chapter begins moments after the ending of the last chapter. I hope you all enjoy it and I have a little question for all of you at the end of this chapter.
“Hi, my name is Cicilia Taylor. Are you new to this town?”
“Yes, I am currently staying at the Marion Hotel down the street.”
“Oh really?” said the guy. It wasn’t until then that I saw how strikingly handsome he was. He was very tall and well dresses. He had dark brown hair that wasn’t short but not long either; it was just right in my opinion. He had to be around twenty-one or twenty-two. Not too much older than me. What was I thinking!?! He is married!
“Yes, I have just spent one night there."
“Did you have a nice stay?” said Cicilia.
“Actually I did!”
“Are you planning on staying around for a while?” said the guy.
“Yes. I think this is a nice town and I was thinking about moving here to Walnut Cove.”
“Really? Do you need a place to stay? Nevaeh and I would love to have you around for a while, until you find a place of your own.”
“You and Nevaeh? What about Cicilia?”
“What about her?”
“I don’t mean to be rude but shouldn’t your wife have a say in who is living in your house?”
They both laughed.
“Me and Dr. Morgan… married? No, No, No I am just Nevaeh’s nanny.” Cicilia said still laughing.
“Oh, but I thought…”
“Well you thought wrong. So what do you say? Will you do us the honor of staying the summer with us Mrs. Michaels?” said Dr. Morgan.
“I would love too!” I exclaimed with a huge smile on my face. Not only had I just made two new friends but Dr. Morgan was single. How could someone like Dr. Morgan be single? He was so perfect in every way. What happened to his wife? Why has Cicilia not tried to become Mrs. Morgan? Was there something wrong with him that didn’t have anything to do with his looks?
I thought about all those things as I packed my bags in the hotel room. Dr. Morgan was waiting for me in the hotel lobby. Cicilia had taken Nevaeh back to the house. Dr. Morgan had told her that it was too hot to have Nevaeh out at the park at this time in the day. You could tell he loved his daughter very much. As I walked out of the elevator a smile came across Dr. Morgan’s face.
“All ready Mrs. Michaels?
“Yes but please call me Summer.”
“Well Summer, which way is your car?”
“This way.”
As I placed my bags into the trunk Dr. Morgan climbed into the passenger seat. He pointed to the left and I started to drive. We drove in silence for what seemed like an eternity.
“Dr. Morgan, When are we going to be there?”
“Call me Jake, and you passed the house a while ago.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I just wanted to see how long it would take you to ask and I wanted you to be able to see the waterfall. I’m sure you have some questions you would like to ask.”
As we pulled up to the waterfall Jake climbed out of the car. He came around and opened the door for me. As I climbed out of the car I felt something cold on my back.
Ok everyone, that is all for this part. I am sorry it was short but I only had about ten minutes to work on it, I promise the rest of the parts will be much longer. I have a few questions for all of you.
1. A name for the story. I need a name for the story and I was wondering if you all could help me out a bit with that. If you have a name suggestion for this story please leave a comment below.
2. Should there be more then one main character in the story? Like in Rubystone's story If You Only Knew.
3. What do you think is about to happen to Summer?
4. What do you think of Dr. Morgan and Cicilia?
