Hi all,
I'm sure you'll all shriek 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO' at your screens when I say this, but please read on and let me explain:
I am giving serious consideration to deleting the following stories:
- Irae Culpa
- Oh Dear God
- Oh Dear God: The Smut Cookies
The reason being, that as time has marched on (and yes, I know a LOT of bloody time has marched on), the more uncomfortable I become both reading AND writing 'Hogwarts Era' stories. My writing style has moved into 'post-hogwarts' because to be honest, I am becoming uncomfortable with teen smut. This extends to my reading habits as well - I rarely read anything Hogwarts-based anymore (unless it involves our protagonists of choice in teaching positions ofc).
Which brings me to the painful bit: I can no longer stand to either read or write the aforementioned stories, so bottom line: They will NEVER be updated. And rather than have half-finished, crappy stories that I hate listed on my profile taunting people, I'd rather just delete them. However I've spent a good deal of time reading the reviews left for each of those stories and know that there ARE readers out there that enjoy these particular works, and I feel a bit mean wanting to delete them entirely.
So the vote is out: Do I post a message on the end of each story explaining that they will never be updated and leave it at that? Or do I go ahead and delete them?
Please no flames. I know it won't exactly be a popular choice but do please remember that this feeling stems from the rising tide of sickening sexual abuse that is corrupting and overtaking our world where innocent girls and children are no longer safe from rape and the worst kinds of perversion possible. It is the constant stream of 'girl aged 12 pregnant after rape' that is pushing me away from the borderline teen-smut and firmly into truly 'adult' content where we can play with our favourite characters in whatsoever manner takes our fancy without feeling vaguely soiled when dear Draco has his head between Ginny's thighs.
Lex.
