Heehee! I was so impatient for you to see it, like stupidly giddy. OMG what it wrong with us?. lol.

You know, I watched the Comic Con panel clips the other day while I was filing my paperwork and I was really struck by the sense that Thrones as a project really values the fans. That's such a lovely and refreshing change for me, having put up with Star Wars and a creator who seems to see the fans as little more than a herd of cash cows, and has so little respect for plot continuity or the integrity of beloved characters, and prefers CGI over good acting. I think I've been getting weary of that SW fandom for a while, but it's only seeing Thrones that has made me realise what meagre rations SW fans survive on. No wonder the people of Westeros blew me away! It's like GRRM came along and said and this is how it should be done.

Now we just need Ewan in Season 3, and it will be perfect!! :)

He does look like he belongs there, doesn't he? Even if it is the embittered older brother/cousin/uncle who would have been set to become the future Lord Stark if it were not for the past crime/family drama/personality flaw that meant the Starks disinherited him. :D

(Although part of me has Ewan looking at Robb/Richard and thinking "WTF do you think you're doing here, in Anne's journal, this is my domain.")

Anyway.

It is fun! And I'm so glad I have you to share it with!!

Oh and the icon isn't mine, I picked it up from the Game of Thrones icon comm, I love the colours.

i HATE! that its taken me this long to get back to commenting to you... *pouty face* its not been for lack of interest, trust me! work was major suckage last week and left me with little time for any internets fun!

i will attempt to consolidate ALL commenting into one comment this time :):):)

i completely understand what you mean about feeling like GoT fans are appreciated! over the years, i've made little to NO attempt to hide my extreme distaste for SW's bearded buffoon. don't even get me started on the latest round of "tinkering" on the blu-rays *seethes* i've often pondered how i can love something so completely and so completely hate the person responsible?!?!? but, i digress :) i think part of it is that grrm is a writer, a creative sort, so he loves this stuff he is writing and wants others to love it too. and i think part of it is that grrm is just a big geek himself and so he can appreciate us, almost peer to peer. it is a nice feeling, i agree. :)

and speaking of geeks, now that you've seen the ComicCon panel.... how cute is it that Jason Momoa is just a big fanboy himself????!?!?!? he even wrote a bit of fanfic - a script for Conan 2 - which i'm sure stands no chance now that the movie was such a flop. but, still, i have a soft spot for fellow geeks and people who respect them us and he certainly seems to (with the "moon of my life" comment to the fan) i also love how comfortable he was with the fans! 'course, he was in Star Gate so, he is familiar, but, still... i find it all terribly endearing.

OMG!Ewan in GoT S3? oh, how we wish! although, i doubt my heart - or other, ahem, parts *grin* - could stand it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and while i loved the episode of Sirens that i watched (thank you again!!!!!!!!!) and i plan to watch more this week, it is NOT helping the crush. not helping, at all. he is ridiculously adorable! :) help me? i can't even...

part of me has Ewan looking at Robb/Richard and thinking "WTF do you think you're doing here, in Anne's journal, this is my domain
i TOTALLY see it! totally! hee!:)
you're adorable! ♥mySun&Stars

speaking of your lovely manip.... how would you feel if i were to try to shrink it down to icon size? i really love it and want to share it with the world! or, at least lj and tumblr! :) but, its your lovely creation, so, i don't want to mess with it without asking.... :) i must admit, i'm pondering a lj layout redo too. while i'm hesitant to replace my current Ewan!Adventure header, i think i could like this one too! hee!:)

You have the perfect icon for Mr Lucas today. Grrr!

Yes please go ahead and do what you like with the graphics, that's fine! Not sure how well it will fit into a header, I had a go to roughly the size of your current header but the cropping is awkward:

(2)

(I also messed with them a bit more in Photoshop so there are some differences from the original - feel free to further edit either of these if you like!)

Got to go now but I will be back to fangirl some more!! ♥

YES. That's exactly the feeling I got too, and I love that the cast are so into it. ♥. Contrast that with how the best actors seem to do nothing but regret being in Star Wars. Grrr. And I read that Mr Madden loves a bit of sci-fi/fantasy too. Good man!

So did you get time to watch any more Sirens? I have to admit a bit of a soft spot for Stuart's character, although Ashley is by far the easiest on the eye. :)

Oh and degrees of Ewan alert!- I only realised the other night that Cat Stark is played by the actress who played Emilia in Othello, the one Ewan was in and I went to see twice! She was his wife! I thought her voice was familiar, but she looked quite a bit younger in real life. Sadly there are no set photos of her with Ewan as Iago, or I could have gone to town with the manips. Hee.

Hope you're having a good week! First day at big girl school tomorrow. Eek!
