I'm back at the UCSC homestead, and jesus, the past few days have been a trial.
It's difficult to re-acclimate. While I sleep, I keep on having these dream scenarios where I perpetually introduce my friends from Santa Cruz to my family and friends back in southern California. My unconscious is lost in this lousy-ass metaphor for balance between my two homes and their associated relationships. I must have re-introduced Chris and Amanda to my friend Patch at least 5,334 times. And no, that number isn't arbitrary. Okay...maybe it is. Warren named his penis "Melissa".
This quarter is going to be difficult. On tuesdays and thursdays I have a three and a half hour block of Psych 1 and the Biology of Aids. Now I can learn about Freud and genital pox shingles...BACK TO BACK!!! I am perhaps the luckiest man alive. (I'm praying that we learn about oral yeast infections next class)
I've also made the decision to quit drinking (just for a little while), and give up the manhunt for a suitable, uh, man. I've also started exercising again, which is making me feel a hell of a lot better about my body image. Yadda yadda yadda.
Hehe. Mr. Shapiro.
