Lee didn't know many of his neighbors so, upon seeing someone he didn't know in a room near his, he stopped in the doorway.

"Haven't seen you around this floor before," he said by way of greeting.

Hello there.

Kevin propped himself up on his elbows and smiled. "Yeah, well, I can't spend every night out on the beach, not when it's going to start getting colder, so I thought it was time to claim my bed," he replied.

"You been spending your nights at the beach?" Lee asked, amused. "The sand that comfortable?"

"Well, I had a towel to lay on," he explained. "And on stormy nights and stuff, I could just crash with the boyfriend or in a common room or something."

"Sounds...rustic," Lee said, holding back his laughter. "No wonder I haven't seen you. I don't tend to sleep on beaches or common rooms. Beds are more fun."

This dude was totally hitting on him. Kevin ran a hand down his chest and scratched his abs, wishing he had thought to take his shirt off when he got in the room. At least it was tight.

"Yeah, I know what you mean," he replied.

Lee raised an eyebrow but tempered that with a smile. "So, no more sleeping on the beach for you, then?"

"I'm not saying that," he clarified, "but I'm thinking the other girl that lives in here would benefit from my company." He grinned.

"She'd benefit, huh?" Lee couldn't help but ask. "And how's that?"

"You know, um..." He wasn't expecting to have to clarify the statement. "I was being... satirical." He meant sarcastic.

Lee laughed and waved it off. "Sorry. I shouldn't have asked. Curiosity's a killer. But, maybe she can benefit from your company. I mean, you look like you know how to relax. Maybe she doesn't."

She did seem uptight. "Exactly!" He sat up and pulled his legs in, Indian style.

"I'm Kevin," he offered.

"Lee," he said, taking a few steps into the room. "Good to meet you, Kevin. Lucky for me you're not on the beach anymore and I can meet you."

"Sounds to me like you should be spending more time on the beach," he pointed out. "So are we neighbors here or something?"

"I live in 315," he said and nodded in the direction he was in. "Sort of neighbors but not next door or anything. But, not a long walk or anything. I pass by this room almost everyday, in fact. Just didn't know you lived here."

"My boyfriend lives on this floor, so I'm surprised we haven't run into one another." He shrugged. "But then again, when I'm visiting Toby, we usually don't have the door open."
