My holiday? Or course it is only the best holiday ever, JESSICA LIBERATION DAY! Jessica Liberation Day, which is celebrated on October 30th, is a day to commemorate the Jessica's liberation from the tyranny of the Allman Brothers, who have scorned the Jessica's for years with their song 'Jessica' which has no words and goes on forever. This dastardly group oppressed the Jessica's with their overly-repetitive song and their influence upon the 1,000's of 60's hippie parents who used this 'song' to name their love-child Jessica.
There are 748,198 people in the United States named Jessica, we have been opressed by bad music for too long, we must rise and paint the town with our name. Since there are so many of us, they could never trace it back anyway. There are many ways to celebrate Jessica Liberation Day, if you are a Jessica or not, first of all you much find and appreciate your Jessica by bringing her monkey bread and other similar yankee desserts, also drinks are reccomended. October 30th is the night when the Jessica's rise up and decorate their area with symbols of their pride, there will be blood, sweat, and paint. On Jessica Liberation Day, all Jessicas must choose an alternate name to go by atleast for the day, it can be simple like 'Janet' or creative like 'Moon-rise-over-hill' the point is to make fun of those who are not lucky enough to be a Jessica, and to differentiate between us, of course. Jessica's leave their mark on the world, and we take this day to realize that our name does not make up our personalities. Though we are united by our name we are diversified by our creativity, talents, backgrounds, and ideals. Other activites may include: watching the movie 'Jessica', a 1962 film starring Angie Dickenson, or "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".
Our mascot for 2008 is Jessice Rabbit, from 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit', she joins us in our revolt against opression by putting on her little red dress and singing in a sultry tone on stage to attract cute potential male Jessica mates to the party. We will not be judged by our name! Remember, she's not bad, she's just drawn that way. We should all learn from her philosophy. It is not our fault, as Jessicas, that we are bad we just are and can't help it. So come, grab your Jessica on October 30th and paint the town Jessica.
