looking around this house now, I can't imagine it any different. its 3 am, and Dani sits across from me eating spagettio's out of a ceramic bowl. the christmas lights dangling around the banister of our old english house were a good choice for recruiment, and I hope that in time, a girl will sit in this same exact spot, 10 years from now, and just be thankful in the moment for all she has. I figured that tonight would be the last major event with just the girls. starting soon, we will have new recruits, which I am very excited for, but it just having the girls togeather for one last time was very meaningful. I find myself more thankful for the opportunities I have these days. More ready to stop and look at the beauty of life, walking over that bridge on the way to HFA 143, or walking home from school down the busy State street. The life around you is incredible. So here Dani and I sit, doing homework, or you know, eating good ole O's, and I think to my self. god. I'm so lucky.
Remember to love the moment,
Manda.
