I laid 30 pairs of shoes to rest last night.
And that isn't even counting the flip flops. Pretty serious, isn't it? I still have to go through my shoe closet in the hallway tonight, there's probably some more in there I can get rid of. So far, there are 8 bags of clothes, shoes and handbags for me to drop off at the Goodwill this weekend.
It really is amazing how much shit you can accumulate in only 2 years of living in a place.
I made an appointment for Niblet to get his hair cut tomorrow. So he won't be around for the trauma of the movers and the chaos. When I pick him up in the afternoon, we'll go home to the new place. I think it'll be slightly disorienting for him, but less than having to lock him in the bathroom for hours like I did the last time I moved. He was a nervous fucking wreck that day. This way, he can run right under the bed and come out when he feels ready to explore our new digs.
Tonight is my last night as a Scottsdalian! Tomorrow I officially become a Phoenician. It's all very exciting.
