1. Jean becomes evil and has weird red hair
2. Jean kills Cyclops (my favorite X-Man hottie)
3. Jean kills the Professor (Patrick Steward IS X-Men to me)
4. Mystic loses her mutant powers
5. Magneto loses his mutant powers (even though he might regain them)
6. Rogue CHOOSES to lose her mutant powers
7. Wolverine kills Jean and then sobs over her dead body
8. The Professor maybe comes back as a comatose man in a hospital?? BUT PATRICK STEWART *IS* X-MEN TO ME!!!!
Seriously, I cried. I don’t cry at movies like The Notebook, but I cry at X3. Something is wrong with me that I can relate more to mutant super heroes than I can a real life tragic love story. This is my favorite comic book movie franchise. I love it. Love it! I want... no, I NEED an X4. NEED IT!
And as someone completely unspoiled by the actual comic books, this whole movie took me by surprise. I knew Jean was going to come back, but I didn't know The Phoenix was evil. And I had NO IDEA Cyclops and The Professor were going to die. None. I think they could have done a little better with some of the subplots. Like the special needs kid in the white room? What's his deal? I wanted more development of that story line. Where'd he come from? How come mutant powers don't work around him? Why is he bald? Does he have cancer? And then the pretty white wings boy. He had great abs. But what was his deal? I realize his father developed the antidote, but I felt like that story could have been explored further. Plus, I liked watching him fly. I did not love it the way I loved X2, but I loved it enough.
In other news, I’m not as broke as I thought I was. I think the reunion cost me more than it cost my mom to send me to my Senior prom and trust me, that wasn’t cheap. However, I finally got up the nerve to check my account balance just now and although every PENNY of my tax refund is gone, I’m not destitute. Yet. However I will be if I keep spending like I have been this past month. SOMEBODY STOP ME! Ha. As if you could if you tried.
