In ones life, there really is a first time for everything.

Apparently, this does include telling a cop he's an asshole and yelling "FUCK YOU!" at him as you drive away like a crazy woman, making a U-turn through a barricade. I had an adventurous morning.

There are Mexicans across the street blaring Mariachi (sp?) music. I'm assuming they are Mexican because to my knowledge Mexicans are the only one's ON EARTH who can listen to that music without their ears bleeding. Seriously though, it is SO loud. They are across the street, in a completely different neighborhood than mine, and I can still hear it. I'm irritated.

So today The K's and I went to Chickfila for lunch (I was late, due to my altercation with Scottsdale's Finest) and then saw "8 Below". Cute dog movie (total side bar, Niblet just burped -- he's been doing that lately, I never knew it was possible for cats to burp until a few weeks ago -- if you don't believe me, ask Kerri) but if you have a hard time watching adorable snow dogs fighting for survival then I don't recommend it.

After the movie I headed to my mom's. She is down right now because she was supposed to have chemo this week but isn't healthy enough for it. Her blood is way to low. As much as she hates having it, not being able to have it when she's scheduled to is really depressing and discouraging for her. Anyway, we made plans to go to a movie and have dinner together tomorrow.

On my way home I stopped at the half priced book store and bought 5 new books. I don't really know what got into me. All I wanted was one or two things to read but I got a bit carried away in there. This is always what happens to me when I'm in a book store, which is why I try to avoid them. Thankfully everything was 1/2 priced and I didn't spend very much. I finally bought a copy of The Lovely Bones. Yet another book that I'm about 2 years too late for, but oh well. Better late than never, I hear.

Now, if only the Mexicans would turn down their music I might be able to go to bed early. Yes, I realize it is Saturday night and just after 10pm. But I'm old and can't be bothered with it.

friends, family, niblet, movies, daily
