I just got done reading my entry from last night, and responding to all of your comments. I feel like I’ve aged ten years since I wrote that.
My mom’s lymphoma is back. Her doctor is waiting for her final test results, which he will have in the morning, and then he will decide on the best options for treatment. More than likely he will want her back on the same chemo she took when she was first diagnosed. She, of course, does not want to do chemo again. But it’s either chemo or death within six months to a year. The latter isn’t much of an option at all.
As much as she doesn’t want to do this again, neither do I. We knew it was going to come back eventually, and apparently it recurs every 3 to 5 years. She’s approaching the three year mark right now. Like clockwork, isn’t it?
I need hugs, chocolate and support people. Gather ‘round!
