prom
i can't say it's what i expected, and i don't really have any stories. it was nice, i loved getting dressed up and seeing everyone else looking all pretty. and i loved my hair. loved it. i felt so sophisticated. i'm totally going to michele's again next year for senior prom. i had lots of fun, and it was great seeing nicole. riva and i had the two hottest dates there. everyone looked wonderful really. it wasn't what i expected, it was much less formal. really what it was like was a canisius dance crossed with a wedding. two fun events combined into one fun event. i wish josh had been there, i didn't have any boys to dance with. well...i danced with mike, but only for like a minute. it was awkward and he stepped on my feet, but he's my friend. and it was nice to be touched by a not tailor guy. not that he was touching...oh nvm. i don't miss having a boy, but events like this make me wish i had someone. not anyone in particular, a sort of idea of a boyfriend. someone who would be an attentive date like zach was for lyndsey, and also someone who can dance really well, and plays soccer. (and could look like any one of the italian soccer players. they are all smokin' hot.) and i'd like him to be smart, and ambitious, and challenging and serious but not depressed. like kocoum. but fun too, like john smith. and...idk, perfect.
wow i got off topic. after prom we went beck to my house. i took off my dress and enjoyed taking some deep breaths, and then we took our hair down and watched some of pocahontas.
riva, chelsea, mike, pete and nicole leave for camp on monday. prom was a nice send off for them, and the sleepover was nice for me. i miss them already.
proms are fun. i can't wait for next year's now. i'm thinking shorter dress, less than eight layers at least, but otherwise i'd like things to be the same. maybe i'll have the guts to ask a certain someone to dance by the time i'm a senior. maybe i'll have a boyfriend. who knows? (nicole will be there tho, by hook or by crook, she's coming to my senior prom. she's a great date.)
