Excellent chapter.

Spike is slowly learning trust. He's never met a Slayer like Buffy...he knows that in some ways but this is a whole new arena. It is natural for a Master Vampire such as he and with his background to be expecting a boot to the rear at the very least. He is a bit flummoxed with the Summers women and their brand of gratitude.

Giles is as we knew him to be....the inquisitive Watcher, intrigued by Spike's chip yet wary of the enemy in their midst. The Ripper in him is ready to pair up with the Devil himself if it will extract revenge for what was done to Buffy.

Should be interesting as the troopers head out to try to retrieve our duo. I'm afraid they aren't nearly as safe as they think. The Council may have to step in to squash Walsh in the end. Nice stopping point with the Dum de Dum moment at the Initiative just as the Scoobies are about to descend on the Summers house.

Interesting how you have established that Buffy does not know what was done to her aside from the obvious.....got a feeling there are some surprises in store from that angle!

Excellent.

Oh, I can't wait to release The Ripper on Maggie *happy sigh*
Ok, waaaay too much criminal mind study has got me excited about violence... not sure that's a good thing, but hey.

Everyone seems intrigued as to what's been done to Buffy and I hadn't actually thought too much about it *blushes* It's a secret only you (and whoever reads these old LJ entries now know) but I'm getting little ideas now. Not sure if they're worth exploring, but maybe it'll work in the plot in the long run.

Thanks so much for reviewing, Kathleen :) Your reviews always make me smile.
