How we Loved

Apr 13, 2009 03:10

On winter nights with frozen skies
where spirits' breath in snowfall lies
when from the flames do embers rise
I think of Her and how we loved
With heart alive and soul aflutter
does from my chest escape a shudder
Her name, a song, I dare to utter
I think of Her and how we loved
With arms outstretched for the embrace
and finding nothing in Her place
a single tear does now replace
my thoughts of Her and how we loved
and in my sorrow do I find,
a solace of the rarest kind
a peace for body, soul, and mind
in thoughts of Her and how we loved.
