I don't know if it is because it's October 1 today or if they just flipped some switch, but tonight when I went downstairs to wash a load of laundry, it felt like fall.
Sure, it's a long ways off from fall weather, as it was still 80 degrees. But, there was a smell, a feeling, and maybe the slightest coolness that gives Tucson its beauty between now and the beginning of May. It's small, barely detectable, but just enough to make me crave it. The little fall sample was just enough to calm my honors thesis tummy ache that I've had for the past 24 hours. Or it could have been the chai tea. Or the massive overdosing of Battlestar Galactica when I should have been facing my responsibilities. Whatever it was, it worked. Tomorrow's another day. Of studying and thesis and project stuff, but it's another day. Another fall-ish day. They really need to come up with a cure for Senioritis.
Listening to OneRepublic makes me want to go run. This is not a feeling I typically have these days, but maybe I'll entertain this tomorrow. It might help the Angsty Legs and the Honors Thesis Ache. And probably the Marching Band is Not Physically Demanding Enough and Ashley Keeps Making Me Watch Good Television Shows Belly I have acquired since band camp. Besides, I'd much rather do that than study for Monday's community health test.
Really. Senioritis. Cure. Now.
Oh! And by the way?
