Helloooo lj,
Nice to see you. It's been a while, hasn't it? Sorry about that. Every time I muster up the energy to post I find myself at a loss for things to say. Today is no different, except for my finals looming around the corner and as you all probably know, procrastination sends me running back here begging for mercy. I've been reading the flist and all, just being a super creeper and not commenting because by the time I get around to it, significant amounts of time have passed and it just feels like too late. So sorry about that too.
New from the home front is that I've got my acceptance letter for Queen's and visas are being approved and my passport is ready to go...except I still haven't booked my flights. It still doesn't feel real to me. Come the end of August I'll be in a different country, on another continent, trying to make it on my own for five months. I'm partly excited but mostly terrified, which is probably why I'm in such denial.
At the moment it is bucketing down here in Sydney and I've spent all day in and out of bed, trying to convince myself to study some. My first two exams are back to back Monday/Tuesday and I'm going to Newcastle all tomorrow (such a bad decision but too late now) and I have a feeling there's not going to be many chances for sleep in the next fortnight.
Aaaand, that's pretty much all I have. I've banned myself from watching any tv shows because once I start one, a binge will being and I'll never get anywhere. It's also been quiet on the book front because I'm trying to save money to avoid starvation while overseas but it's difficult and I'm thinking of investing in some sort of eReader once I get to Canada to both satisfy my book cravings and cut down on the amount of baggage I'll have on return. Do any of you have a kindle/kobo/ipad device that you love or hate or would recommend? I'm pretty much in the dark about things like this so any advice is muchly appreciated!!
a little help please?,
procrastination will be my downfall,
i heart books
