Thanksgiving is tomorrow and Jared and I are celebrating with a contingent of theatre grads who are also sticking around b-town. We're bringing two kinds of potatoes (regular and sweet) and stuffing (of the stove-top variety.) Today has been the kind of lovely lazy staying in bed all moring day that I've been looking forward to for quite some time.
The Chicago trip was pretty cool, Wicked was very good. I had a wierd feeling on Friday walking down Michigan and looking around at the city. I couldn't help but think "This is so very much not New York." I know I'm not really a city girl, but I guess I still feel an intense connection (and loyalty?) to that town. Hopefully I can finagle (finangle?) a summer internship there.
Three more weeks of school, followed by three weeks of break and then fifteen more weeks. Then summer. Then fifteen more weeks, then another Christmas, and then I'll be off on my internship. Graduation is so freakishly close, considering I just fucking started. But not quite close enough.
Ah, well, off to do laundry and then have myself some Michele McNally time via cell phone. It's the first Thanksgiving I haven't celebrated at home (or at least with family,) and I feel this urge to call everyone I condsider a close friend, just for a minute or so.
