my dad is great. my mom...let's give an example: i painted a few walls for her today, and las night, she was setting out all the things i'd need. "jen, why don't you come down to the basement with me now and pick out the brush you'd like to use to paint where the wall meets the ceiling." no thanks mom, i am perfectly capable of selecting my own paintbrush. every night she asks me if i want her to wake me up the next morning and every night i tell her again that i have an alarm clock. it's a lot of little things like that making me go absolutely bonkers everrytime she opens her mouth. tongiht was classic: i was watching sex and the city (on tbs, for christ's sake) and the minute she realized what it was, she said "i just think they're all such sluts. i like to think we raised you better than that..." i wanted to shout at her a greatly exaggerated number of people i've slept with just to shut her up. sigh. but it'll be over soon. sorry to hear your parents are getting on your case, as well. you're always welcome to contact me if you'd like to bitch and moan about em.
