RAINBOW CONNECTION
UGH!! The sickness has enveloped me. It's wrenching twisting grip has finally taken a hold of me, weaking my will, breaking my pride..oh oh, but my voice sounds totally hot!...
Haven't posted in a while, I have no exuse, and usually I ALWAYS have one. New job, working at the 'Cashroom' in the SLC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT...what do I do? I process about $70,000 in things called bags. Each 'unit' (restaurant/eating place) has a bag. There are about 120 'bags' floating around, I open them up and count the money inside, then seperate it in it's respective denomination(s). Then I 'bundle' it all down into yet smaller increments, like 4 'sets' of $1's make a 'bundle', and I have to rubberband each of those smaller ones, then put them into yet another bundle of $100, and so on and so forth, same with the $5's, and $10's, etc. Kinda fun actually, I can 'process' pretty fast. Then I have to do a deposit, which is basically taking the left over amount from the bags and taking it to the bank-which is in the Airport for our convenience. A stupid girl quit, which only leaves 4 of us to work in there, that would be ok, if we didn't need any days off. This means that 2 of us have to work by ourselves, which if things go well we only work a 10 hour day. If things go wrong (count's are off, money for the safe doesn't balance) then we work a 12 hour day. This makes me angry cuz I have school, and I like to get good grades, but lately, i've been getting off so late, that I barely have time to do half of my homework, let alone show up for class on time. GRRR. Oh, and my cold seems to have not actually gone away like I thought, it's now back, and I have a fever, and I'm dripping really pretty clear dewlets of snot from my nose that splash on my black sweater....it's actually kinda cute, except when im talking and i have a drip moment.
