I can has File Cabinet...!
The bad news: I've still got more than several boxes of old files to go through at home.
The good news: I picked up a brown Steelcase brand 4-drawer legal sized file cabinet for $19.99 at the Goodwill on South Terrace Road last Saturday night. It's built like a tank and the drawers slide smooth as silk. They don't make them like that anymore. I went through one of those old boxes last night and winnowed out a third of the contents. If all the other old file boxes get trimmed to a third of their size, then all of my files should easily fit in this one cabinet when I'm done.
If I had bought it new it would have cost about $250.00 (Which I could not really afford). Hooray for Goodwill!
So last night I went through one of the old file boxes and tossed out about two-thirds of it.
If I can trim all of my other old boxes down as much, I should easily be able to fit everything into this one file cabinet.
This will free up all sorts of space and make my house look so much better.
Well off to do more cleaning...!
