Oh my right leg is killing me. We spent the day cleaning the house and I also rearranged the furniture in the Living room.
I went to the store and bought 6 clear storage containers. They had reduced the price on my favorite size to $4.88 so I bought all of the unbroken ones. I still need to buy about 10 more containers to get the rest of my studio supplies into clear storage. And I need to just put a hold on buying anything else.
But at least now ALL of my yarn is tucked away, and some of my spinning fibers and some more of my fabric. I can't believe how much yarn I have. I don't like to knit in hot weather so it will be a nice stash to get into come fall.
I moved some stuff around and started filling up the empty closet. My small hallway feels huge now!
Sadly, the paper tiger is now HUGE again. I think it has a mate too. and cubs. I have so much paper clutter. That's why I rearranged the living room again. The setup was not working to help me keep things filed. My office supplies got separated a while back and I'm working on getting them all consolidated to one place again. I hate checking in multiple places to find something. I set up a plank across two plastic sets of drawers to make a credenza, and threw boxes of paper clutter beneath to be sorted. So I've got a kind of a Galley Kitchen setup for my office space now.
The parlor looks like a bomb hit it. It appears to be the leftover room but I desperately need to get the table in there cleared off so I can work on my SCA sewing. I am starting to sort items by mundane personal, mundane community associaiton, mundane sewing society, and SCA.
I have discovered that I have a bad habit. When I finish a project, I never put my materials away. I just shove them aside becuase I'm in a hurry to leap on the next project. So today I spent ***A LOT OF TIME*** putting away things from completed or postponed projects.
I moved two of my armchairs from the parlor to the sewing room so company tomorrow will have someplace to sit while they ogle the cookbook collection (yeah it's a sewing room and Library). I've got three shelves of books that need to go in there as well.
A lady from my sewing group gave me a bag of gently used clothes. Most of it is nice stuff but too large, and is going to be passed to the next person or Goodwill, but I did keep one nice pair of cropped pants and a few tops that were well designed and fit well. I need to wash what I've kept because they have a fragrance on them that I find unpleasant. But I'm not big on fragrance period. I also came across the lace curtains that I bought at goodwill a while back and promptly forgot about. I need to wash them tomorrow so I can hang them up in the parlor.
Except for the above, and a sleeping bag, all the laundry has been done today so that is all I'll have to deal with tomorrow. I washed all of my rugs for Pennsic. I cleaned towels, sheets, bath mats, and a couple of loads of dirty clothes.
Kitchen is clean, floor vacuumed and mopped, K cleaned the fridge last week, and all the dishes are done and put away. Bathroom got cleaned too. I'm going to finish vacuuming in the morning. I need to do the Living room, dining room, bedroom and parlor.
We took a break and went to Sugar's Ribs for an early dinner. I loved the food but it did not agree with himself. He did not eat any sort of bread with his ribs so the grease just sat on his stomach.
At first I didn't believe him but then...I smelled his stinky dog farts and my doubt evaporated along with my sense of smell. Ewwee!
He's in bed now and I'm about to follow.
