I found a recipie on how to save your walnut hulls for dyeing later! I was going to go out today to collect some but I got busy paying bills and getting groceries and cleaning my Kitchen.
So I'll try to do it tomorrow.
You can use a hammer, etc to break the hulls off, and just spread them out on newspapers to dry. Once completely dry, you can store them in lidded jars. Then you can use a recipe to extract the dye. I did extract some brown dye from a pecan hull that i pulled the other day. It was not ready but just one hull pulled a lot of dye. Can't wait to see what walnut does!
