So as I've mentioned before, I'm leaving next tuesday to take a cross country roadtrip to California, for the Coachella music festival

Music to drive to? Oh-ho, do I love music to drive to. I wail along to these on a regular basis, most of them are chill.
Going to California (Led Zeppelin) American Woman (The Guess Who, though Lenny Kravitz is fun, too) Running Down a Dream (Tom Petty) Rockin' Down the Highway (Doobie Bros) Black Water (Doobie Bros) Listen to the Music (Doobie Bros) Long Train Running (Doobie Bros) China Grove (Doobie Bros) Legs (ZZ Top) Tush (ZZ Top) Sharp Dressed Man (ZZ Top) Gimme All Your Lovin' (ZZ Top) Two Tickets to Paradise (Eddie Money) Baby Hold On (Eddie Money) Slow Ride (Foghat) Bad Company (Bad Company) Rock & Roll Fantasy (Bad Company) Movin' On (Bad Company) Freewill (Rush) Tom Sawyer (Rush) Fly By Night (Rush) Who Do You Love (George Thorogood & the Destroyers) Rock & Roll All Nite (Kiss) Rock Me Tonite (Billy Squier) Lonely Is the Night (Billy Squier) Blinded by the Light (Bruce Springsteen/Manfred Mann's Earth Band) We're an American Band (Grand Funk Railroad) Smoke on the Water (Deep Purple) I Hear You Knocking (Dave Edmunds) Jessica (Allman Bros) Turn the Page (Metallica) Spirit in the Sky (Norman Greenbaum) Life in the Fast Lane (The Eagles) Hot Blooded (Foreigner) I always laugh when I put it right next to Cold as Ice
Boston: Piece of Mind, Foreplay/Long Time Gone, Amanda, Don't Look Back, More than a Feeling, Rock & Roll Band
Journey: Wheel in the Sky, Don't Stop Believin', Any Way You Want It, Lights, Separate Ways, City of Angels, Faithfully, I'll be Alright without You
Moar Styx: Lady, Loreli, Mr. Roboto, Crystal Ball, Come Sail Away, Blue Collar Man, Babe, Too Much Time on My Hands, Show Me the Way
Moar CCR: I Put a Spell on You (or Screamin' Jay Hawkins), Proud Mary, Lookin' Out my Backdoor, Heard it Through the Grapevine, Born on the Bayou, Fortunate Son, Down on the Corner
As much as I love Don Henley's original, I think the Ataris did a really good cover for Boys of Summer.
I always recommend the entirety of Crosby Stills Nash & Young's So Far. Some of it is kind of b'aaaaw, but I love it.
Maybe mix in some Bowie, Aerosmith (Dream On, Sweet Emotion), and Grateful Dead (Franklin's Tower, Truckin', Casey Jones)?
I just have a CD player in my car -- so many mix discs have come and gone in the last three & 1/2 years. Most of "today's" music doesn't agree with my driving, unless I'm angry lol.
