.....

I was overhearing the news while cooking myself something to eat.... A local childrens hospital apparently denied a young man a spot on a organ waiting list recently because he wasnt a good canidate...

Why was he not a good canidate? No normal medical reasons that might make a person unsuitable for major organ transplant...

The poor, young, black man apparently had caused problems in school when he was there(*he's been in the hospital since november), and also had had a minor drug charge a few years ago....

Because of that, he has no hope of a transplant...

WTF?

Triage is supposed to be by severity of the problem, or likely benefit. I.E. if you're going to die sooner without help, but help will help you, you get it sooner then someone that can wait or who is less likely to survive even with help...

Triage is not by who is a "better" person. Specialy with kids. Sure here are some exceptions, like helping nearly any random guy before hitler, but that is completely different then this context.

I really dont see how they are getting away with this... I'm sure some rich white kid, who's drug interactions just were never caught, got his spot.
