[ Grune has noticed this new turn of events (ha ha ha). And in light of it, she's wandering about town, following anyone she finds with a thought bubble. Anyone who runs into her will soon know what their thought bubbles are saying... kind of. Grune's own bubble is hazy, but it's pretty clear that all that's in it is what's right in front of her

[Nikea happens to wander by, humming to herself, and not really taking notice of Grune. Unlike Grune's thought bubble, Nikea's is clear as day; she's sitting at a table piled high with food, a veritable feast...except Nikea appears to be the only one at the table, and in her bubble she is wolfing down as much food as she can. Is it a memory, a fantasy, or is she just really hungry? Who knows!]

[ Grune sure doesn't know, but she'll follow along after Nikea, watching with interest. Her own thought bubble has the same scene, but there's no table, just Nikea (or a rather hazy depiction of her) sitting on the ground as she eats. ] That looks like such fun.

Hmmm? [Half turns her head after Grune speaks] Going for a walk? Yeah, it kinda is! It's super-neato seeing what this place is like. I just got here, and it's a lot different from anything else back home. [thinks] It IS fun walking around seeing the sights! Are you new here too? You could join me if you wanted! I'm Nikea, it's nice to meetcha!

[As Nikea hasn't turned to face Grune fully yet, she can't see Grune's own thought bubble, and she seems pretty oblivious to the one above her own head, in which she is still attacking the feast with gusto.]

Oh, I'm... Grune. Right, that's it. [ She nods to herself, and now the hazy figure in her thoughts is both eating and talking at the same time. She's walked up near Nikea before she's even noticed it. ] Where are we going?

[Action]

Nice to meetcha, Grune! [Pauses, then looks around, thinking] I'm not sure! I was just following this path and see where it takes me. Might as well keep going that way, huh, see what's down there, huh?

[Pause, as they walk] So, where ya from Grune? [Asking the other woman about where she's from appears to change Nikea's thoughts as well, and she begins thinking about Falena, where she recently spent a lot of time; images float by of a city spread across three islands in the middle of a large, beautiful river, and a castle brimming with people, a whole army of them. No food seems to be involved.]

I'm from... [ Her thoughts go blank, and then hazy, hazy images of a forest, water, and some strange looking architecture flit through her bubble. ] Hmm, I wonder...

[Nikea still fails to notice either of their thought bubbles, because that would require powers of perception that are beyond her capabilities] You don't remember? Oh, you got amnesia? Is that why you can't remember where you're from? Did those um, Malnosso guys do that to you, Grune? [I hope I don't get picked for an experiment any time soon!]

Oh, I don't think so. There's a lot of nice people here! [ Read: in Grune's head, the Malnosso are just like everyone else. And therefore not bad. ]

Oh, well, that's good! Yeah, the people here seem really nice too. I met some really nice people when I first arrived. One of them even told me these wings aren't for flying, which is good, because I was about to jump off a tree to find out! So, how do you like this place, Grune?
