Another update
[I recently discovered I am to undergo surgery soon, I am so frightened. Any operation can be serious when you have to be put to sleep for it, so I am scared....I am scared because I have so much to consider, so much to be healthy for and I have a lovely little daughter I just want to keep watching]
I've packed up Odette and Deanie [the twins] and they are ready to go visit Blytheghost for their reroots. They are rechipped and waiting to be mohair girls. I'm so excited, I've never owned a mohair girl before and the first one I saw in person was by Blytheghost/Sandi and she looked brilliant. I'm sure Sandi will do a great job on them.
I've got Amity and Panda [two of my DD heads] with Anouc/Miro in Germany getting faceups. I cannot wait to see them either. They were blank canvases and I am sure Miro will have their personalities show beautifully through her custom work.
I'm still waiting on Adamina's nylon-reroot, I worried about it at first as the customiser kept saying it hadn't arrived, but the post email updates said they had... then she told me she finally got it but she had a huge workload to go through first. I dunno, I'd love to see it completed and on Adamina... it's a yellow/blonde/pink mix with bangs or at least it will be.
It's been a long, worried wait on that one...
Marin is going for her visit to the spa in late September, she is my precious first doll so she deserves a spoil. I've got her a new wig, eyes and eyelashes to go with her new look.
In other news..
I rechipped Misha, she had two stock-eyes remaining so I finally replaced them.
Tomoko is needing to be cracked open and fixed, her eyes no longer change. After that I'll rechip her two remaining stock-eyes too.
I'm going to put new eyes in Shiki and Ringo when I can find a moment to do that. The smaller dolls are easier to work with and I want them as they are for a little longer, they aren't their characters yet and I sort of like them being their before-selves as I work on other things.
I made an order of brainworm chips, always wanted some but always settled for Coolcat instead. I love Coolcat's variety and how you can buy outfits, shoes, specific foils and just about everything you might need from their store. Blythe, Pullip, DD, MSD and MDD... I can buy anything for any of my girls in the one place.
But brainworm are unique and different to Coolcat chips...I've always wanted glowing or milky chips.
I do need to make another Coolcat order soon though, probably in four weeks time according to the budget [the financial list I don't always obey LOL] I have my eye on getting:
Some Blythe socks, some Blythe stockings, a welcome-home outfit for Deanie and Odette, some flower-style eyechips, some pull-rings, some Dollfie Dream socks, some Dollfie Dream skirts....and some wefts and scalps for custom.
Members of my family pooled and got me two new Blythe, I'm going to partial-custom them. They'll be my first attempt at it. I'm going to rechip them of course...I know how to do that.
Then I'll be painting their eyelids, changing their eyelashes and giving them a whole new reroot.
I might even boggle their eyes. None of my girls are boggled.
I was thinking of doing a full-custom but I think I'll do partial for now.
I like the idea of working with their stock colours as a newbie customiser attempt.
Those girls will be my 'hospital girls', both little good-luck nurses looking out for my health. One will escort my husband while he waits for me to come out of surgery and the other will keep an eye on my Mum who is the most worried out of us all. I think she'd like a girl of mine to cuddle if she's too scared.
