My first day of classes is going well. I think this Agec class I'm in is weird, though. We're studying geographical economics of food. Hmm. I need it for my global credit. I dunno.
Well, I'm giving Waterfront one more chance to give us back our refund from last year or I'm filing for small claims. I looked everything up on Tippecanoe County's website today. It's $44 to file a small claim against someone. I'm going home to find my copy of the lease and read it word for word to make sure there's no hidden way they'll try to get out of paying me. After that, I'm going to call my old roommates, Sarah and Carmen, and discuss the matter. Hopefully I can at least get Sarah to come into their office with me sometime this week. Carmen graduated and moved home, so it might be an inconvenience for her. If they blow me off once more, I'll file a small claim. I'm tired of messing around.
We were supposed to have this deposit back in mid-September. It's now January of the next year and they've blown me off two times. I hate to be a bitch, but it's $235 I'm owed and I'll be damned if I'm going to let them keep it from me. According to Purdue's website, most leasing companies are supposed to give you back your deposit within 45 days of your occupancy ending. Ugh. They are such shady horrible people and I pity anyone that has the misfortune of leasing from them. I hope PRF is different about things.
I need that money so I can pay Kindra's roommates the deposit for next year.
