I know what you mean about Bright Eyes or emo in general. everyone is worried about being "scene." fuck that. I hate how everyone treats emo like its about trendy glasses. IT'S MUSIC. shallow cunts.

I wanna give oyu a point for that - IDK if I should but I mean, it was well said, and yes sometiems I like to wear the glasses and be like over dramatic and sometimes I am very *emo* but I mean, emo stand for emotional, so whatever. I just don't like it when all people think about it how good looking the people they listen to are. That is what the mainstreem is full of Keep out of the underground and the little bands!

i definitely have no objection to the whole emo=emotional standpoint. I completely agree with that. I just get pissed when people think they need to LOOK emo. I hear so many people around saying they want to become emo. I want to puke everytime. be your fucking self instead of skipping around from trend to trend. you can listen to emo without looking like an emo kid. If that is your style then cool, whatever, but I can't stand it when people want to change their whole style into something else just because it's trendy, like emo. I mean, emo kids are seen as depressed, and I have been dealing with depression and anxiety for years now, so for people to WANT to look depressed is beyond me. Because I AM depressed and I hate it when people think I look sad because it brings them down too and my intentions were never to drag anyone down with me. I definitely don't hide my feelings, when I'm depressed people know. But I certainly don't go out flaunting my sad look so people will feel bad for me or pretend they care about what's going on. It'

yeah, I mean, being sad is not a good thing. Just like being to skinny. I mean those things really affect you and the people around. Also why would you want people to fake that they care. I can't stand it when I am sad and people that I never talk to are like oh Carla are you ok? What's wrong? I tell thema little so theyw ill go away and be like good luck with that, but I know they don't care so why even bother them asking. They jsut want people to think they care about what is happening.
